Big wide pore silica gel appears as a particle of white, milky color. It includes spherical and granular silica gel. Its main composition is SiO2.nH2O. It is insoluble in water and mineral acids, but is soluble in caustic alkali solution and hydrofluoric acid.
Application
Big wide pore silica gel is frequently employed as a catalyst, catalyst carrier, and beer stabilizer.
